As another person said, this oil has a difference you can actually hear when you apply this oil. My shredder shreds my papers just a bit faster. Overall, I would highly recommend this to anyone considering buying a lubricant for a shredder. This oil is amazing. I am using this lubricant with my W-11C shredder, and what a difference.
I bought a bottle of this stuff, and now shredder is back to normal. There was one review here that complained they need to buy a nozzle. Just cut the tip of the closed nozzle that it comes with. I thought my confetti shredder was at its last breath. No you don't. Be careful not to throw the red tip cover away. I had to keep reversing and forwarding after it kept getting stuck. Luckily I noticed the Need To Oil sign on the top.
Add it to your shredder and watch the magic happen. Great product for the price. Arrived on time. LOL. Do not use for cooking. This product cant really go wrong. Its oil.
I have read all the reviews & yes. The Vegetable oil will go rancid & you'll start to smell it in time, many people have complained that when oiling the oil come out to fast. Here's the fix don't use a pair of scissors or a utility knife to cut the tip of the cap. So I decided to buy & see for my self. The cooking oil is much more brighter, heavier & has a distinctive smell.
For $5.00 for a 4oz bottle the Fellows is a better buy. Just use either a baby pin or a thumb tack to pierce the tip of the cap & then you can have control of how much oil you need to use. FYI: If you have a Office Depot where you live. Not to mention the Engineer at Fellows said that poring oil on a sheet of paper is not enough lubrication & neither are the pre-soaked sheets you can buy. There own brand of oil is a refined soybean based. I contacted Fellows & Royal they said you could use in a pinch regular vegetable cooking oil, but the main difference is there oil is much more refined & does not in any way smell like vegetable oil.
I used a med size baby pin & it's working great for me. You need to run the machine in reverse as your poring for 10 seconds. I did a side by side comparison. The Fellows is a much lighter oil.
At this price, why bother with an inferior oil. People talk about saving money and using vegetable oil, which can become rancid with an odder. I highly recommend this product. This product for $6 is a real bargain. I bought two bottles, enough to last a very long time.
